Age Friendly Cities Project

A World Health Organization Initiative

Case Study

Aquipo developed the project identity and all promotional materials: logo, illustrations, video, and website for the local citywide participatory initiative: Barcelona Ciutat Amiga de la Gent Gran.

As a World Health Organization campaign, the Age-Friendly Cities project encourages cities to conduct a self-diagnosis and assessment through focus groups and surveys about the city in relation to physical, social, and service areas and the elderly and also creates a new global network of urban centers.

To officially launch the project, Aquipo produced the Barcelona government’s stand at the FiraGran trade fair. The stand physically represented the look & feel and participatory characteristics of this new initiative. Aquipo continues to manage the project website and graphic design needs.
